I still see the truck in Oakland, in fact today (1/31/01) I can see it on the roof of the parking garage across the street from where I work. I just snapped a pic from my office window with my the digicam from our HR department, zoomed in. :)

A '78 FJ45 longbed from Manitoba I found in Oakland, CA, behind an apartment building. It was a snowplow truck up north. He couldn't register it down here, so he had to take it back to Canada. :-(
